Investigation on Preparation Method of SBS-Modified Asphalt Based on MSCR, LAS, and Fluorescence Microscopy

The preparation method of SBS-modified asphalt has a direct effect on its overall performance. Currently, the optimal process is usually determined by conventional performance properties, such as softening point, ductility, and penetration, which may deviate from practical field This study aims to investigate influence different methods microstructure based fluorescence microscopy testing, multiple stress creep recovery (MSCR) test, linear amplitude sweep (LAS) well Burgers model fitting. was prepared with shear rates, temperatures, times, development time, sulfur addition. results show that for preparing 2 h shearing at 180 °C 4000 r/min, followed sulfurization 6 development. most notably influenced sulfurization, forms C–S bonds make polymer network stronger, thereby improving high-temperature fatigue resistance. However, due sensitivity, break during development, leading weakened without addition shows monotonically increasing trend extension time.
